The general director of the legal company “Achievement” Artem Baranov spoke about the existing bans on fishing in Russia.
According to the lawyer, there is a “spawning ban” in almost every region, according to which it is impossible to catch fish during a certain period of the year. It can also apply to specific rocks and water bodies.
Thus, you cannot fish near fish factories, fish farms cages, near aquaculture-related water bodies, in fish hatcheries and fish farms. Also, fishing in specially protected natural areas, reserves, etc. is prohibited.
Fines for illegal fishing range from 500 to 5 thousand rubles, with the possibility of confiscation of a hunting tool or vessel, as well as deprivation of the right to hunt.
“In order to always be aware of and not accidentally fall for a fine, you can go to the websites of the Federal Agency for Fisheries or a certain region, which publish background information on the current restrictions and prohibitions,” Prime agency quotes him on Monday, March 22.
Baranov noted that fishing with the use of explosives and chemicals, electric current, electronic means of detecting aquatic biological resources under water and scuba gear is also prohibited. This is punishable by a fine of 500 to 4 thousand rubles with the possibility of confiscation of the weapon or deprivation of the right to hunt.
In September, it was reported that over the past year, the Federal Agency for Fishery has imposed fines for illegal fishing in the amount of more than 150 million rubles.
