Most regions are ready for the start of the school year in full-time format. On July 29, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Russian Federation, this was announced by the head of the Ministry of Education Sergei Kravtsov.

“Most of the regions are ready, we are working with the rest in a targeted mode,” the minister said. The format for the beginning of the school year will depend on the epidemiological situation in a particular municipality, he said.

Currently, there are no serious concerns, so the lines on September 1 are planned to be held in the traditional format.

According to the minister, the All-Russian Parents’ Meeting and the Federal Pedagogical Council, where topical issues will be discussed, will be held in August. “We will discuss with everyone the topics that bother people, we will give the most detailed and up-to-date information,” the head of the department said.

Earlier during the meeting, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that population immunity to coronavirus in 10 regions of Russia ranges from 17% to 28%.

According to the latest data, in Russia the total number of detected cases of COVID-19 has reached 828,990 people, 13,673 patients have died, and 620,333 recovered.
