Kostroma pensioners are increasingly mastering the Internet

On the occasion of the Day of the Elderly, which is celebrated on October 1, Kostromastat has published quite interesting statistics on how Kostroma pensioners spend their free time.

Firstly, Kostroma statisticians noted that in 2019 more than 15 thousand elderly (that is, over 60) people were employed in the regional economy – that is, 10.2 percent of the total population of this age group.

And – which is typical! – about the same number of elderly people (13.2%, to be precise) are active users of the Internet in general and social networks in particular. This, by the way, means that the number of elderly people who have become familiar with computers over the past year has grown by about a third.
