Kiev is asking the United States for help in acquiring electronic warfare (EW) equipment to counter Russia. This was stated on Wednesday, April 21, by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba in an interview with Reuters.

According to him, during a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken last week, he asked Washington for help in acquiring electronic warfare funds to “counter Russia’s ability to block Ukrainian communications.”

Earlier on Wednesday, April 21, it became known that the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee unanimously supported the bill “On Partnership with Ukraine in the Security Sphere”, which provides for military assistance to Ukraine up to $ 300 million.

On April 14, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin announced that the United States will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine so that it is capable of self-defense. We are talking about the continuation of the supply of certain types of weapons and the sending of American military instructors to the country.

Since 2014, Kiev has been conducting a military operation against the residents of Donbass, who refused to recognize the results of the coup and the new government in Ukraine. The settlement issues are being discussed in the Minsk and Normandy formats – with the participation of Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany. Despite the adoption of a ceasefire agreement, exchanges of fire between the Ukrainian side and Donbass continue.
