Kazakhstan will ease quarantine restrictions in a number of regions from March 1

The interdepartmental commission in Kazakhstan made a decision from March 1 to soften the current quarantine restrictions in those regions of the country where there is a favorable epidemiological situation. This was announced on Wednesday, February 24, by the press service of the government of the republic.

“From March 1, sports competitions with spectators, funerals for 50 people, billiard rooms, children’s entertainment clubs in the premises will be allowed in the green zone, circuses will open. All of the above activities are permitted subject to occupancy – up to 30%. Restrictions on the operation of markets, shopping and entertainment centers and trading houses will be lifted in the yellow zone, ”the message says.

All regions of the country now belong to one of the zones defined by the rate of spread of the coronavirus. At the moment, not a single region is left in the “red zone”.

Also, the government of the country made a decision to transfer from March 1, schoolchildren of the primary five grades to combined education. In international schools, this decree also applies to students of the sixth and seventh grades, with the exception of Mangistau, Kostanay, Zhambyl regions, where a large number of violations of the sanitary regime in educational organizations were recorded as a result of the audit.

Earlier that day, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced the lifting of most of the restrictions imposed earlier due to the situation with the coronavirus. He stated this at a briefing on Wednesday, February 24, after the meeting of the Coordination Council. According to the orders, from March 1 in Batumi and from March 8 in the rest of Georgia, restaurants will resume work indoors, except for weekends, while they must follow the recommendations and standards that will be strictly controlled by the relevant departments.
