Sneakers by American rapper Kanye West sold at Sotheby’s for a record $ 1.8 million. This was announced on Monday, April 26, at the auction house.
This is a black Nike Air Yeezy 1 model with a beige sole, developed by the musician in 2008 in collaboration with Nike. The pair was released in a single copy, in which West appeared at the Grammy Awards the same year.

The sneakers were later sold at a charity auction in support of a hospital in Oregon and were kept in a private collection until recently.
At a private auction in Hong Kong, which took place April 21-26, 2021, the pair was bought by Rares, a collectible shoe resale company, for $ 1.8 million. In the future, the company intends to offer everyone to buy a “share” in this pair of sneakers as an investment.
