Kaluga doctors who work with covid patients on New Year’s holidays will be paid double. This was announced on Wednesday, December 23, by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the State Council with the participation of Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha.
Payments to physicians fighting coronavirus and involved in work during the New Year’s holidays were given special attention at the meeting. Payouts must be calculated at double.
“The vaccination of medical workers has just begun, so they are not yet protected in the required amount. This must be done, I ask the government to organize this work and make an appropriate decision as soon as possible,” the President said.
In addition, Putin drew the attention of the regional authorities to the need to draw up schedules for the health care system on holidays in advance and ensure all payments.
The head of state also noted that the authorities will have to continue the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, achieve a turning point, maintain a high mobilization of the healthcare system and all social services.
Earlier, federal and regional allowances were established for medical workers dealing with covid-patients.
