The Israel Defense Forces fired at targets in Syria, responding to a missile launched earlier from there.
“A surface-to-air missile was fired from Syria into the southern Israeli Negev,” the Israeli army said on Twitter. As specified, Israel attacked the battery from which the missile was fired, and in response to additional batteries in Syria.
Earlier, local media reported that alarm sirens went off on Thursday night in the village of Abu Krinat in southern Israel.
Residents from all over the country, including central Israel and Jerusalem, said they heard “loud explosions” that “shook houses.”
