At this amount, representatives of the prosecutor’s office estimated the damage from a tax crime committed by the former head of one of the companies in the Krasnoarmeisky region.
As established by the investigation, from 2013 to 2015, the accused did not pay value added taxes and profits. He indicated in the declaration false information about the provision of services from three other firms, which in reality was not. Thus, he did not pay 50 million rubles in taxes.
For this crime, the man was found guilty and sentenced to 1 year 9 months in a general regime colony. However, he refused to voluntarily compensate for the damage, according to the regional prosecutor’s office.
Then the prosecution filed a lawsuit in court to recover from the ex-director in favor of the state the entire amount of damage caused to the state budget. The Krasnoarmeyskiy court fully satisfied this requirement.
