One of the dynamically developing and densely populated districts of Kostroma, the Davydovsky microdistrict, will receive a new children’s clinic. This was announced by the governor of the Kostroma region Sergei Sitnikov.
The head of the region came up with an initiative to build a medical institution, and Vladimir Putin supported this idea. 90 million rubles will be allocated from the president’s reserve fund for the construction of a polyclinic. The new modern medical institution will receive 10 thousand young patients.
The place where the clinic will be built has already been determined. It will be located on Profsoyuznaya Street – next to an operating kindergarten and a school under construction.
The authorities assume that 12 pediatric sites will be attached to the new clinic, where about 10 thousand children live.
The polyclinic will also employ not only pediatricians, but also doctors of such narrow specialties as a dentist, psychotherapist, ultrasound, exercise therapy, massage and physiotherapy rooms.
The construction of the polyclinic will begin this year. The money has been allocated, now we just need to decide on the contractor. It is planned that at the end of next year the clinic will receive the first patients.
On behalf of the Governor Sergei Sitnikov, work began on the formation of a personnel reserve for the staffing of the new polyclinic. “For several years I have been trying to make it possible to build a new clinic. Among other things, they were looking for private investors who could build a polyclinic together with an apartment building. Today I am glad to inform everyone that the President supported my appeal and funds have been allocated. They have already entered the region. In the very near future, the construction of a new children’s polyclinic for the Davydovsky microdistricts will begin, ”said Sergei Sitnikov.
Nowadays the reception of children in Davydovsky takes place in two rooms. Working conditions for the medical staff are extremely cramped – narrow corridors, small offices. In such difficult conditions, the polyclinic receives over 60 thousand visits a year.
After the opening of the new polyclinic, doctors will receive new comfortable working conditions and new modern equipment.
The development of the health care system is one of the policy priorities of the head of the region. As part of the development of the industry infrastructure, hospitals are repaired annually, and new equipment is purchased. For the past seven years, a systematic policy has been pursued in the Kostroma region to improve the quality of healthcare. 15 new medical departments and institutions were opened. And this is bearing fruit, mortality from diseases of the circulatory system in the Kostroma region has decreased by almost a third, and mortality from oncology has decreased by 10% in 2020.
