Over the past day, 5509 cases of coronavirus were detected in 84 regions of Russia. This was reported by the operational headquarters to combat the spread of this infection on Thursday, July 30.
Of these, 24.7% had no clinical manifestations of the disease. 129 deaths were recorded. During the day in Russia, 9,322 people have fully recovered.
Most cases in Moscow – 678 people and the Sverdlovsk region – 215 new cases.
In total, to date, 834,499 cases of coronavirus have been detected in Russia in 85 regions. Over the entire period, 13,802 deaths were recorded, 629,655 people recovered.
The day before, during a meeting on the sanitary and epidemiological situation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that special efforts of medicine should be focused on preventive work and influenza vaccination. According to him, the situation with COVID-19 in the Russian Federation is calming down.
At the same time, he noted that, despite the decline in the number of cases of COVID-19, the situation could “swing in any direction.”
Earlier, on July 27, the president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Sergeev, said that the coronavirus vaccine would be enough for mass vaccination in 2021.
