In Moscow, over the past day, another 72 patients with the identified coronavirus have died. This was announced by the capital’s headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus on Sunday, November 8.

Thus, the number of deaths in the capital has reached 7,361. It is noted that all patients were diagnosed with pneumonia and received a positive test result for coronavirus.

Over the past day, 20,498 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia, the incidence rate surpasses the 20,000 mark for the third day in a row.

Earlier that day, it became known that on behalf of the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, Deputy Head of the Department Igor Kagramanyan and Assistant Minister Oksana Guseva will go to St. Petersburg to provide organizational and methodological support in connection with the increase in morbidity in the city.

In turn, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that it was not possible to stabilize the situation with coronavirus in Moscow even after the transfer of high school students to distance learning.

The spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes the COVID-19 disease, began at the end of December last year. The Chinese city of Wuhan became the hotbed of infection.
