In Moscow, 14 patients with coronavirus have died in the past 24 hours. This was announced on Thursday, July 30, in the capital’s operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the infection situation.

In total, 4460 deaths have been registered in the capital since the beginning of the pandemic.

Earlier on July 30, it was reported that 5509 cases of coronavirus were detected in 84 regions of Russia over the past day. In addition, 129 deaths were recorded. During the day in Russia, 9322 people fully recovered.

On July 30, Sobyanin said that the incidence of coronavirus in Moscow is likely to have reached the lowest possible value and will not decrease in the coming weeks. A decline in incidence to zero is unlikely, he said.

“In the coming weeks, the same picture will continue as in the previous month. That is, we will be in the corridor from 650 to 700, plus or minus 50, ”Sobyanin said.

The day before, during a meeting on the sanitary and epidemiological situation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that special efforts of medicine should be focused on preventive work and influenza vaccination. According to him, the situation with COVID-19 in the Russian Federation is calming down.

At the same time, he noted that, despite the decline in the number of cases of COVID-19, the situation could “swing in any direction.”

Earlier, on July 27, the president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Sergeev, said that the coronavirus vaccine would be enough for mass vaccination in 2021.
