In Moscow, 12 patients with coronavirus have died in the past 24 hours. This was announced on Wednesday, July 29, at the capital’s operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the infection situation.
In total, 4446 deaths have been recorded in the capital since the beginning of the pandemic.
Earlier on July 29, it was reported that over the past day in 84 regions of Russia, 5475 cases of COVID-19 were recorded. In addition, 8116 patients fully recovered per day, 169 deaths were recorded.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in Russia, 828,990 cases of COVID-19 have been registered, 620,333 people have recovered and 13,673 patients have died.
On the same day, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country, said that the number of detected cases of coronavirus in Moscow had decreased 10 times since May.
A few days ago, the president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Sergeev, predicted that the coronavirus vaccine would be sufficient to carry out mass vaccinations in 2021.
