According to the agency, one of the local residents refused to open his car, and the security forces broke the windows in it. During a search, riot police officers seized a canister of gasoline from another driver on the pretext that the substance could be used for arson.

At the moment, there are no large groups of protesters in Minsk, and the whole situation is under the control of the security forces. There are almost no people and cars on the streets, but at the same time you can meet police crews, special equipment and buses with riot police.

Mass protests have been taking place in Belarus since August 9, on that day, presidential elections were held in the country. The current head of state, Alexander Lukashenko, according to the CEC, got 80.08% of the vote, opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya was supported by 10.09% of voters. Tikhanovskaya’s headquarters did not recognize the results of the vote.

After that, people who disagreed with the election results began to take to the streets. They are opposed by the security forces. In the clashes, there are casualties from both sides. There were also detentions of journalists, including those from Russia.
