On the evening of December 25, on the Vyatka highway section, five people were injured in accidents one after another and the driver died.
At about seven in the evening in the Zvenigovsky district, on the 30th kilometer of the road, the 38-year-old Renault Duster driver lost control. The car drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Volkswagen Tiguan. Renault driver died at the scene, 42-year-old Volkswagen driver in hospital.
An hour later, when the police and rescuers were working at the scene of the accident, a Renault truck crashed into the car of the fire service. According to preliminary data, the 46-year-old driver chose a safe speed and lost control.
After the collision, the truck flew into the oncoming lane. Two more cars were damaged: Volkswagen Caravelle and Kia. An employee of the rescue service, a driver and two passengers of Volkswagen were injured, according to the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Mari El. The last three ended up in the hospital.
