On the territory of Mari El, 168 containers for separate collection of waste have been installed, including 60 containers last year and one this year.
The regional operator placed the containers in Yoshkar-Ola, the villages of Medvedevo and Sovetsky. It is planned to install more than 60 such tanks by the end.
According to representatives of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources, garbage has now become a national problem. Reduction of waste generation and reduction of their hazard class can be achieved through separate collection – it allows to separate secondary raw materials at the initial stage, which means to reduce waste generation.
As a reminder, we wrote earlier that new eco-shops made of recycled plastic waste were installed in the center of Yoshkar-Ola.
