Road works on the last section of the access road to the Vyartsilya checkpoint are coming to an end. As reported in PKU UPRDOR “Kola”, at present work is being completed on the last 11-km section. Now 50% of the volume of the top layer of asphalt has already been laid. In addition, the exit to the border made its own adjustments. Thus, an additional third lane was added for dividing transport – into cars, buses and trucks.
It should be reminded that the 54-kilometer road “Approach to the Vyartsilya checkpoint” was transferred to federal ownership in April 2017. After that, the road was divided into four sections with a phased start of repair work. The previous sections were commissioned in the fall of 2019.
