In Kaluga, the roadway of the Yachensky reservoir will be rolled into asphalt. The preparatory work has already begun on Tuesday, October 27, the press service of the Kaluga city government reports.

“The road separating the embankment of the Yachensky reservoir from the Volkov square will be rolled up into asphalt. Milling of the roadway began on Tuesday, but specialists began to prepare the day before,” the press service said.

The workers will have to strengthen the areas disassembled during the installation of storm sewers and lay two layers of asphalt: leveling and top. The contractor is DSK-Logistics, which has proven itself well during the implementation of the Safe and High-Quality Highways National Project.

According to the contract, works are due to be completed in 20 calendar days. The contractor, however, will have to hurry due to unstable weather conditions.

Improvement works are currently underway on the embankment.

The Yachenskoye reservoir is located on the Yachenka River, which flows into the Oka River at a distance of 200 meters from the hydroelectric complex. The reservoir was put into operation in 1981. Kaluga residents will receive a new embankment as a gift for the 650th anniversary of the city.
