A 46-year-old resident of Kalmykia, engaged in entrepreneurial activity, is accused of violating safety rules during construction work, which inadvertently resulted in the death of a person.
The Investigation Department for the city of Elista of the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kalmykia completed the investigation of a criminal case opened against a local businessman in November last year.
It was found that the man was responsible for the construction and installation work at the facility located in the 4th microdistrict of Elista. His responsibilities included organizing the work process and ensuring safety during work at height. Despite the subzero weather and the resulting icing on the roof, the entrepreneur instructed the worker to carry out installation work to install the roof. Carrying out the instructions of the chief, the master climbed onto the icy roof, slipped and fell from a height to the ground. The installer died on the spot from his injuries.
