In Bashkiria, a criminal case was opened after the death of a four-year-old boy as a result of an attack by a pack of stray dogs. This was reported on April 17 by the press service of the Investigation Department of the RF IC for the republic.
“A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence, resulting in the death of a person by negligence), on the fact of improper performance by officials of the administration of the Uchalinsky district of their duties to organize the trapping of neglected animals, which resulted in the death of a child as a result of an attack on him by a pack of dogs, ”the message says.
Dogs attacked a boy in the village of Safarovo in the Uchalinsky district on the morning of Saturday, April 17. It is clarified that the child was playing near his house when several animals attacked him at once. The boy died on the spot.
In the course of the investigation, the actions or inaction of the officials of the district administration responsible for organizing the capture of stray animals will be given a legal assessment.
At the end of February 2020, bodies of people with dog bites were found in different parts of Krasnoyarsk. Based on these facts, criminal cases were initiated under articles of murder and negligence.
