21 people died in Baghdad in an explosion and fire at a clinic for patients with coronavirus. Another 40 people were injured. The news portal Baghdad Al Youm writes about this.

According to preliminary data, oxygen cylinders exploded in the medical facility. They were located next to the intensive care unit, in which there were people with severe coronavirus and significant lung damage.

The fire that followed the explosion destroyed the building almost completely. The situation was aggravated by the panic that gripped the patients of the hospital. Everyone rushed along the corridors and could not understand where the emergency exit was.

There were about 120 people in the hospital at the time of the explosion. 90 of them were saved.
