In colony No. 5 in the city of Volsk, Saratov region, a woman fell out of a second-floor window, the Saratov 24 TV company reported on August 12 with reference to the Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the region.
The report says that on the afternoon of August 11, the 47-year-old convict fell out of the window and was injured in the fall.
Portal “Volsk.ru” named the name of the prisoner – Tatyana Minaeva – and said that as a result of falling from a height, the woman received multiple fractures and is in the intensive care unit of the Volsk regional hospital. Her condition is assessed as serious.
Doctors arrived at the scene and provided the woman with first aid. The inmate required hospitalization – she was taken to the hospital.
Also in the message it was clarified that the woman is serving a sentence in IK-5 under clause “z”, part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm with the use of weapons or objects used as weapons).
At present, the life of the convict is not in danger. All the circumstances of the incident are being checked.
Earlier, on August 11, in the women’s correctional colony No. 6 in the village of Shakhovo, Oryol region, the prosecutor’s office found a number of violations in relation to convicts, in particular, in the material and medical and sanitary provision of prisoners, their pay and fire safety.
