President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon that he can drink, and not a little, but does so only in two cases.
“I can drink half a bucket, but then they can bury it…”, Lukashenka said, adding that he drinks only when his presidential colleagues gather. According to him, one of his “friends-provocateurs” is Nursultan Nazarbayev. Lukashenka said that Nazarbayev sits down, pours a drink and says: “Well, Sash, a little?”
Besides, Lukashenka said, he can drink in the company of women.
“You will not sit like some kind of king, even though you are the president,” Lukashenko explained, adding that he cannot sit and pretend to be a teetotaler if the women in the company are drinking.
