In Hawaii, the number of people infected with the coronavirus has begun to rise, Travel and Leisure reported.

A total of 3,600 coronavirus cases were recorded in the state, of which 231 were recorded last weekend. In this regard, State Governor David Ige has reinstated the mandatory for those traveling between the islands. It previously operated from April 1 to June 16 for travel to Maui, Kauai and Kalavao.

“We must protect the residents of the neighboring islands due to the renewed increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Oahu,” the governor said.

On the island of Oahu, where the capital of Honolulu is located, parks and beaches were closed, shopping centers and attractions were suspended. In addition, it is forbidden to gather in groups of more than 10 people, and in public places residents were obliged to wear masks and observe social distance.
