New cases of COVID-19 and new deaths from the severe course of coronavirus infection indicate that “the danger of the virus is not decreasing,” said the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov.
On the morning of Friday, October 16, the head of the region published on his instagram data on the current epidemiological situation, according to which the number of COVID-19 infected people in the Stavropol Territory increased by 157 people over the past 24 hours.
The total number of cases in the region since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic has exceeded 18.5 thousand people, of which about 13.5 thousand patients have already recovered. Two patients became victims of the pandemic per day, and in total – already 368 people.
In terms of the total number of cases and the number of new infections per day, the Stavropol Territory is in first place in the North Caucasus Federal District.
The head of the region called on the residents of Stavropol to take care of themselves and loved ones and comply with the recommendations prescribed in a pandemic.
