Angela Merkel and the prime ministers of the federal states have agreed to extend the quarantine until March 7. Despite this, the federal government believes that the opening of stores and other establishments is possible before March 7.

Government spokesman Steffen Seibert confirmed in an interview with the Funke media group that the opening of a number of businesses is possible if the incidence rate for seven days per 100,000 people in the federal state is consistently below 35. “This is how I personally understand the settlement, yes,” said Seibert , answering a question about the current restrictions on the fight against coronavirus and their removal or mitigation.
