In Germany, the number of new cases of coronavirus infection per day increased by 1,735, reaching 270,684. On the eve of the Ministry of Health of the federal states, 2,219 were reported. But on Saturday night, only figures from eleven of the 16 federal states arrived.
However, the federal health ministries reported two deaths. As a result, the number of the country’s inhabitants who died from the virus amounted to 9 357. The number of actual carriers of the virus in Germany increased by 633 people compared to the previous day and amounted to 21 527.
The R factor of 1.16 on Friday rose to 1.27, according to the Robert Koch Institute. Three days earlier, on Wednesday, R dropped to 1.0, dropping to a critical limit of 1. However, it has been steadily rising since then. The R factor represents the infection rate for about a week and a half.
On Saturday evening, 260 patients infected with the coronavirus were in intensive care units. 144 patients are connected to a ventilator.
