A few days ago, a court lifted the curfew in Baden-Württemberg. From Monday it can become history in Bavaria too. At least in those regions of the federal state where the incidence rate is below 100. Prime Minister Markus Söder said that in areas with a high number of new diseases (above 100 per 100,000 people in seven days), it will continue to apply from 22:00 to 5:00 h.

“The curfew has proven to be an extremely effective measure,” the head of the CSU stressed. Therefore, it would be irresponsible to cancel it in regions where the situation has not yet stabilized.

Zöder also reassured schoolchildren by stating that elementary school students will be able to return to school after February 22nd. However, only children in those regions and cities where the incidence rate dropped below 100 will be able to return to full-time education, albeit in shifts, ”the politician said. Schools in regions where the number of infected is high will continue to operate remotely. Graduate students will also be able to return to full-time education. The mask mode in schools remains. Testing is also planned. Currently, only high school graduates are studying full-time.
