Fraudster lured from a pensioner in Moscow 2.5 million rubles

An elderly resident of Moscow has become a victim of fraud. The woman handed over 2.5 million rubles to the alleged courier of the bank, reported on Tuesday, December 15, in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the capital.

“A woman born in 1944, living in an apartment on st. Khodynskaya. According to her, since the beginning of December she received messages from an unknown person, who introduced himself as a bank employee, after which a courier came to her to take the money “in order to save it,” the agency of city news “Moscow” quotes a message from the department.

Only after the pensioner gave the money to the fraudster, she realized that she had become a victim of deception.

The woman withdrew money from November 23 to December 7. At present, this fact is being checked in accordance with Art. 144-145 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.

Earlier on the same day, it became known that telephone scammers lured from a 60-year-old resident of Kaliningrad more than 2.5 million rubles, including 1.6 million rubles, which the woman took on credit, according to the website kp.ru.
