The French authorities have begun to implement a program of assistance to the Armenians who suffered during the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Foreign Ministry of the republic reports. This decision was made by President Emmanuel Macron and Foreign Minister Javes-Yves le Drian.

As part of the assistance, government agencies and non-profit organizations will be mobilized. Hospital cooperation will be established, medical equipment will be supplied to Karabakh, and groups of surgeons will come to the region. Paris also intends to provide support to humanitarian organizations.

France notes that it acts within the framework of the need to resolve the conflict in the region as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group on a par with Russia and the United States.
