From July 1 to August 6, the National Social Insurance House received 16,548 applications for the revision of old-age pensions submitted by recipients of pensions issued from January 1, 1999, whose insurance period after this date was at least 10 years. Thus, as a result of the revision, the average pension for these beneficiaries increased from MDL 2,615 to MDL 5,148. The data was presented by the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbraveanu, IPN reports.
The minister said in an interview that in October, recipients of pensions, the amount of which does not exceed 3,000 lei, as well as beneficiaries of state social benefits, 659,886 people in total, will receive a one-time financial support in the amount of 700 lei. Recall that the second indexation of pensions in 2020 will take place on October 1.
