The bear cub was born in the Rostov-on-Don zoo for the first time in 32 years, the TV channel “360” notes. He is currently in a den with his mother. Its weight is about 500 g.

Logvinenko clarified that the gender of the bear cub is still unknown, since the zoo employees have so far decided not to disturb the family and watch him on video cameras. It will be possible to see the bear cub in the spring, writes RT.
The she-bear Comet was born in 2012 at the zoo in the Czech city of Brno in 2012. In 2014, she was brought to Rostov-on-Don. Bear Ayon arrived from the Izhevsk Zoo in early 2019.
The polar bear is listed in the international Red Book and the Red Book of the Russian Federation. All over the world there are 20-25 thousand individuals. About 7 thousand individuals live on the territory of Russia. Hunting for them in Russia has been banned since 1957.
