Firefighters managed to contain the fire on the outskirts of the village in the Voronezh region, where a forest is burning on an area of ​​10 hectares. On Wednesday, August 26, TASS was informed about this in the press service of the regional GU EMERCOM of Russia.
The department noted that the forest fire was approaching the village of Karandeevka, Bobrovsky district. Emergency Situations Ministry officials restrained the fire, and now it cannot reach residential buildings closer than 700 m.
Local residents have been informed about the danger, rescuers do not exclude an evacuation, for which they have already prepared. The administration has allocated buses for the people, the Zvezda TV channel writes.
The Emergencies Ministry noted that the area of ​​the fire has not increased. 68 people, 23 pieces of equipment are involved in the liquidation, but the group is building up, a fire train has been sent to help, and a helicopter of the EMERCOM of Russia aviation is in readiness.
On Wednesday afternoon, two fires were identified in the forest of the Bobrovsky district near Voronezh. The village, which is 700 meters from the forest, has 22 residential buildings and 70 people.
