The V All-Russian Children’s Festival “Heirs of Traditions” was held in the Vologda Region from 2 to 5 August.
The region was represented by 240 participants, for whom the festival was held in full-time format. Residents of other constituent entities of the Russian Federation joined the event online. The competition brought together a total of two thousand people from 65 regions of the country. In addition, representatives of Austria, France, Belarus, Armenia and the Donetsk People’s Republic took part.
At the end of the festival, Vologda schoolchildren showed decent results. Thus, the participants won first places in three nominations: “Shipbuilding”, “Decorative and applied art” and “Folklore”. Moreover, in the latter case, Vologda residents won three out of four possible sub-nominations. In addition, representatives of the region took several prizes. The leading position in the nomination for teachers also went to the Vologda participant.
