“Based on the advice of health experts and government, and decisions made during our internal discussions on these issues, we are allowing employees to continue to volunteer to work from home until July 2021,” Facebook said in a statement.
In addition, the management of the corporation intends to pay extra $ 1,000 to employees “for the needs of a home office.”
It is noted that Facebook staff was transferred to remote control at the end of March due to the situation with COVID-19, and in May, employees were allowed to continue working from home at will until the end of the year.
According to the head of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, the corporation will be among the last to resume work in offices after the pandemic ends.
Previously, Google allowed its employees to continue working remotely until July 2021, and Microsoft executives allowed its employees in the United States to work from home until at least January 19, 2021.
