The footage published by residents of different districts of the city shows the movement of special equipment towards the center of the Belarusian capital – on Akademicheskaya, Platonov, Oktyabrskaya streets.
Law enforcement officers arrived in the area of ​​the Friendship of Peoples Park, where on April 26 the participants of the “Chernobyl Way” march timed to coincide with the anniversary of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant gather.
This year, the Minsk City Executive Committee refused the organizers to hold the action, pointing out the threat of the spread of coronavirus at public events and a number of organizational issues.
Since last year, protests of those who disagree with the results of the presidential elections on August 9, 2020, in which Alexander Lukashenko won for the sixth time, have not stopped in Belarus. According to the CEC, he won 80.1% of the vote.
