The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia fined the ex-governor of the Irkutsk region Sergey Levchenko for conspiracy. This was reported by the press service of the department on Thursday, July 30.

The amount of the fine was 30 thousand rubles.

In 2019, it was established that the head of the region, the local government, Ramport Aero JSC, Aeon Infrastructure Corporation LLC, Novaport LLC, Management System LLC, Irkutsk Terminal LLC, Irkutsk International Airport JSC, LLC Novaport Holding and JSC Tolmachevo Airport entered into an agreement violating antitrust laws. They entered into an agreement that broke competition in the construction of a new air terminal complex on the territory of the Irkutsk airport.

Levchenko early resigned in December 2019. The reasons for his departure were the dissatisfaction of the federal authorities with the work to eliminate the consequences of the floods.

In November 2019, activists of the All-Russian Popular Front conducted a monitoring in the flood-affected areas of the Irkutsk region, according to which most local residents did not receive payments.
