The preliminary results of the elections to the Oryol City Council have become known. According to available information, 22 mandates are received by United Russia, 5 by Fair Russia and self-nominated single-mandate candidates, 4 by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and 1 by each by the Liberal Democratic Party and the Party of Pensioners.
Ex-deputy, well-known blogger and political scientist Alexander Fedulov in the latest issue of his author’s project “FEDULOV BOMBIT” said that “United Russia” showed a brilliant result and, in his opinion, exceeded the expectations of experts: after all, as you know, in the region ruled by a communist governor, this party was in opposition.
We will remind that earlier the Oryol United Russia party was predicted to fail in the elections to the City Council. However, this did not happen. But another forecast of political scientists came true – the SRs, strengthened their positions. However, those attentively observing the course of the election campaign repeatedly noted the not entirely fair “game” of candidates from the SR and their sponsors.
“When money speaks, the truth is silent,” Fedulov noted, explaining the phenomenon of the Oryol SRs.
