Actor Mikhail Efremov drew several drawings on Friday, August 7, during a meeting in the Presnensky District Court of Moscow in the case of a fatal traffic accident. This was stated by the lawyer of the injured party, Alexander Dobrovinsky.
The lawyer clarified that the Spasskaya Tower was among the actor’s sketches.
“Efremov behaves calmly during the court session, draws something on a piece of paper. I saw that he painted the Spasskaya tower, ”TASS quotes him.
Efremov’s lawyer Elman Pashayev, in turn, confirmed that Efremov drew something, but what exactly the lawyer does not know.
The day before, during a regular court hearing, journalists noticed that Efremov was looking at something on the smartphone screen almost all the time. Pashayev hastened to declare that his client did not violate a court order on house arrest, according to which he is prohibited from using the Internet, except in circumstances related to the investigation of a criminal case. According to him, the courthouse does not catch the connection, and Efremov was looking at photographs and documents related to the investigation in his smartphone.
On the same day in court, Efremov did not recognize himself in the video recording presented to the court. They also showed a recording from the scene of the accident, which shows a wrecked car and an actor sitting on the curb. They also showed a video of the broadcast on Instagram, which was conducted by a witness who spoke earlier on Thursday.
Earlier this week, Efremov pleaded not guilty to the fatal accident, citing that he did not remember the events of that evening. The traffic police officers questioned in court confirmed that the artist was drunk at the time of the accident.
The accident occurred on Smolenskaya Square in the center of the capital on June 8. Efremov’s car drove into the oncoming lane and rammed a Lada van head-on. The driver of the domestic car, courier Sergei Zakharov, died in the hospital. A criminal case has been initiated against Efremov. He was placed under house arrest until August 9, but then the preventive measure was extended until January 22, 2021.
