In Ryazan, the chief editor of the regional portal Ryazan.Life, Zhanna Sheplyakova, was killed. This was reported on Saturday, January 16, by the K1news portal.

The body of a 33-year-old journalist with ten knife wounds was found in her apartment the day before, January 15. According to preliminary information, Sheplyakova could have been killed by her husband during a family quarrel.

According to the portal K1news, the deceased earlier filed for divorce. She lived separately from her husband. On Friday evening, Sheplyakova asked for help and protection, but no one had time to come to the rescue.

Two children disappeared from the victim’s apartment. The journalist’s husband has not yet been found either. The search is underway.

On December 30, 2020, unknown persons set fire to the car of Sergei Kulakov, editor-in-chief of the information-political city portal “Dzerzhinskoe Vremya”. According to the journalist, the arson did not become a revelation for him and, despite the incident, he will not stop doing journalism. In addition, Kulakov thanked the firefighters for their prompt actions to eliminate the fire, since there was a cylinder with 70 liters of liquefied gas in the car and the consequences of the explosion, in his opinion, could be serious.

In November, Znak.com correspondent Marina Malkova’s BMW X1 car was set on fire in Chelyabinsk. The editors did not rule out that the incident was related to the professional activities of their colleague.
