Artem Dzyuba, forward of St. Petersburg FC Zenit and the Russian national team, expressed a desire to win new trophies with the team. This was announced on Thursday, July 30, by the club’s press service.

Earlier on the same day, it became known that Zenit had extended the contract with the striker according to the “2 + 1” scheme – for two years with the possibility of further extension for one more.
Alexander Medvedev, the general director of Zenit St. Petersburg, said that negotiations with the 31-year-old striker were easy and short-lived. He expressed the hope that Dziuba will spend the next three seasons at the same level as in the previous seasons, and will remain among the team leaders, Gazeta.ru writes.
At the end of the 2019/20 season, Zenit made a golden double, winning the Russian championship and the Cup of the country. As the “Federal News Agency” reminds, forward Artem Dzyuba joined Zenit in 2015. As part of the team, he played 176 matches in which he scored 73 goals. Together with the St. Petersburg team, he twice became the champion of Russia, twice won the Cup and the Super Cup of the country. The footballer also played for Moscow “Spartak”, “Tom”, “Rostov” and Tula “Arsenal”.
