Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov criticized the fight against corruption in Ukraine and recognized his compatriots as a “nation of thieves”.
“In our city hall, not only [президенте Украины Владимире] Zelensky, but also in recent years [экс-президента Украины Петра] Poroshenko opened 286 criminal cases, of which 30 went to trial, and ended with a guilty verdict, ”Filatov said in an interview with the Watching YouTube channel.
In particular, he said that the Security Service of Ukraine is investigating the theft of salt against icy conditions and violations in the supply of potatoes to kindergartens, and in general, the fight against corruption in the country has turned into “virtual reality.”
“We put ourselves in the paradigm that we are a nation of thieves, and we have convinced the whole world of this,” Filatov added.
Last week it became known that the deficit of the state budget of Ukraine reached 300 billion hryvnia (more than $ 11 billion) – this is a record figure for the last five years.
In turn, Oleksandr Goncharov on 25 July predicted a “pandemic extinction of the manufacturing economy” of Ukraine and considered that the Ukrainian government was doing everything to bury the hryvnia.
In early July, the head of the executive committee of the National Council of Reforms Mikhail Saakashvili noted that the law enforcement system is the main enemy of Ukraine’s economic progress.
