Honorary Worker of Culture of Moscow, Deputy of the Council of Deputies of the Basmanny District, director and director of the musical theater “On Basmannaya” Yuri Arkhipov died on October 27 at the age of 62 from coronavirus. The obituary was posted on the theater’s website on Wednesday 28 October.

“Pain and sorrow overwhelm the hearts of those who knew and worked with this sincere, wise, sincere person, who perceives other people’s problems as their own, who is always supportive and inspiring for new achievements and with such a sense of humor, a person who devoted all of himself to serving the theater,” says in the text.

Arkhipov felt unwell soon after returning from vacation. The test carried out confirmed his coronavirus infection, according to the website kp.ru.

Arkhipov spent two weeks in intensive care, then he was transferred to another hospital, but this did not help.

Earlier on the same day, it was reported that 16,202 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Russia over the past day in 84 regions of the country, RT reports. Most of the cases were in Moscow (3670), St. Petersburg (727) and the Moscow region (505).

The number of deaths in the last 24 hours was 346, 12 361 people have fully recovered.
