Experts quickly eliminated some of the “nuances” of paying for travel in the St. Petersburg metro using mobile applications for smartphones using the Mir payment system.
This was told in the press service of the metro. “Payment using mobile payment services using Mir cards is carried out in a standard manner,” they specified. “The equipment at the stations is operating normally.”
“MK” in St. Petersburg ”wrote back on January 13 that when paying using a mobile application (when a smartphone is applied to the turnstile, not a card) using the Mir system, 39 rubles were“ debited ”from the card instead of the promised 36 rubles. At the same time, as reported, the Mir Pay application did not work at all, for example, with the cards of the most famous bank of Russia.
As St. Petersburg residents note, the Mir Pay application is still available only on the Android operating system.
