The Avito Auto experts conducted a study and found out that in Russia the demand for anti-theft systems increased by 52%. On September 11 Autonews reports about it with reference to research materials.

It is noted that consumer interest has grown in both the cheapest and the most expensive types of anti-theft systems.

“This year, 9% of Russians who did not have a car before thought about buying one, another 3% planned to give up their personal car, but changed their minds. People who are not ready to buy a new car this year are investing in improving the existing one and are ready to purchase spare parts and accessories to increase comfort and safety, ”explained Alexander Kuroptev, head of the Spare parts category in Avito.

According to a study conducted in March 2020 by Delta Security Systems, more than half of Russians (58%) think about the threat of theft of their car.

For more than 3.5% of respondents, the threat of theft has become almost a mania, and every fifth car owner (22%) has dreams in which the car is stolen.

On April 29, it was reported that the most stolen car at the end of 2019 was the American Cadillac Escalade SUV.
