Svetlana Bessarab, member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, listed the reasons why December 31 should be a day off.
Note that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation has already reported that in 2021 the last day of the year will become a non-working day, justifying this by the fact that “it will be better for Russian families and especially for Russian children.”
The Ministry of Labor considered that the New Year is a holiday in which children most believe, and in order for those who will create their own families in the future to follow the established traditions, such initiatives can serve an excellent service. This is what Bessarab said.
