According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), over the past day in Germany, the number of newly infected people has increased by 13 604, which is more than 2 thousand more than yesterday (11 169). In the last 24 hours, 388 deaths have been reported. Currently, 3,926 patients with Covid-19 are being treated in the intensive care unit.

As of Tuesday, December 1, 1,067,473 cases of infection have been recorded in the country since the beginning of the collection of official statistical information on the coronavirus. The total number of deaths from Covid-19 to date is 16,636. The R value over 4 days is approximately 1.04.

It is estimated that there are 292,037 active cases, that is, people currently infected. This figure is not officially recorded by the Robert Koch Institute. However, as in other countries, it is determined by subtracting the number of deaths (16 636) and the estimated 738 800 recovered from all ever infected.

According to the Intensive Care Register, 3,926 people are currently being treated for Covid-19 in intensive care units. This represents approximately 14.02 percent of the approximately 28,000 intensive care beds in Germany.
