The Cuban authorities will oblige those who come to the island to have negative results of a PCR test for coronavirus from January 10, the Ministry of Health of the republic said.

The department noted that after the opening of international airports, the percentage of imported cases of coronavirus increased. In this connection, from January 10, each traveler, upon entry, will have to present a certificate with a negative test for COVID-19 to the sanitary control authorities.

“It was decided to establish as a requirement for the entry of all foreign travelers to the national territory the availability of a certificate of passing the PCR test 72 hours before the start of the trip,” it was reported.

According to official figures, 10,900 people have been infected in Cuba, of whom 140 have died.
