“As of October 13 (Tuesday) at 8 am (midnight GMT), the city had already taken 3,078,528 samples,” said the municipal health commission.
“A total of 1,107,883 results have been obtained so far and no (new) positive cases have been discovered,” she said in a statement.
Authorities in Qingdao launched a campaign on Sunday to collect samples from all 9.4 residents within five days, after three positive cases appeared the same day in a hospital.
